Distillery Of The Month: Rosebank Distillery
Now officially open to the public, the ancient buildings of Falkirk's historic whisky distillery have been magnificently restored to offer a world-class experience.
Hear the story of Rosebank brought to life in the original distillery buildings built in 1840 and take a guided tour from the malt mill to the gleaming copper stills. See the unique whisky production techniques for which rosebank is famed and breath in the history of aged casks resting in our warehouse. Look forward to tutored tastings in the spectacular tasting rooms, and the chance to take home an exclusive bottling of Rosebank.
On the Rosebank Rekindled Tour your experience starts with tales of the old Rosebank brought to life in the original distillery buildings. You’ll then be taken on a guided tour of the magnificent new glass-fronted stillhouse where you’ll see every step of Rosebank’s unique production process. You will pause by the spirit safe to nose the new make spirit, followed by a visit to the warehouse where you’ll see casks of Rosebank, some filled before the distillery closed its doors over 30 years ago.
The tour finishes in one of the distillery's private tasting rooms, with a special tasting of a very rare Rosebank whisky served in a bespoke glass. You’ll also have the chance to sample a pair of fine single malts from Rosebank's sister distilleries - Glengoyne and Tamdhu.
Find out more about Rosebank Distillery at its dedicated pages on the DistilleryTours.scot website.
