Malt Of The Month - Bladnoch Loch Maberry Chapter 2 

Loch Maberry: Stories of Bladnoch is an annual, limited-edition series created in collaboration with Bladnoch’s most passionate admirers. Each year, a customer works alongside Master Distiller Dr Nick Savage to select a cask for bottling, sharing their personal journey with Bladnoch and shaping a unique whisky experience for others to enjoy.

Chapter Two celebrates Liz, the great-great-granddaughter of one of Bladnoch’s original founders. Together with Master Distiller Dr Nick Savage, she selected an 18 Year Old Single Malt matured in a Sherry Butt. Elizabeth’s story with Bladnoch is one of heritage and reconnection.

As the great-great-granddaughter of founder Thomas McClelland, her ties to the distillery run deep. Returning to Bladnoch gave her the chance to explore that legacy and discover her own admiration for the people and the craft that define it. This family connection is why she was chosen as the inspiration for the second release in Loch Maberry: Stories of Bladnoch.

• Nose: Coffee creams with dark chocolate.
• Palate: Peaches, apricot jam and coffee beans.
• Finish: Very long with nutty almonds.
• ABV: 48.6%
