2008 Manzanilla Cask Finish, 53.4% abv

Filled into ex-bourbon in 2008 and finished for 6 years in a Manzanilla sherry cask, this 18 year old Glen Moray combines the sweetness of Speyside with the intensity of sherry creating a perfect late summer / autumnal dram.

Tasting Notes from Emma Ware, Glen Moray Visitor Centre

• Nose: Candied apples, dark chocolate sprinkled with sea salt, a soft sweet spice with cinnamon, cloves and almond
• Taste: Rich caramel and woodspice with a hint of wild brambles, dried citrus peel and green pine notes emerge slowly with the addition of water.
• Finish: A distinctly warm and spicy aftertaste, much more savoury than anticipated.
