Our Malt Of The Month is Ardnahoe Inaugural Release
The wait is over. This inaugural release is the realisation of the Laing family's long-held ambition to produce their own whisky on the magical island of Islay. A major milestone on the journey, as well as a new and exciting chapter in Islay's remarkable whisky story, you are bound to enjoy every rich, smoky and fruity drop.
This limited edition inaugural release has been matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso sherry casks.
Tasting Notes:
- On the nose: shortbread, baked apples and Islay peat smoke.
- On the palate: custard, ginger, lemon zest and baked apples.
- Finish: long and smoky.
- 70cl, 50% ABV
Priced at £70 from the Ardnahoe online shop and at the distillery visitor centre, the Inaugural Release will also be available at select high-street retailers in the UK and internationally. Online sales are limited to two bottles per order, and will be available to ship to UK addresses.
