The Snug is Speyside Distillery’s Visitor Experience in the heart of Aviemore, opened in summer 2018.

Built in a style to reflect that of Speyside Distillery itself – old wooden beams, stone walls and a hand-crafted bar made from our whisky barrel staves - you are welcomed into a cosy environment where you can browse the store for gifts, arts, crafts and spirits or treat yourself to a dram, book a tasting event – in The Snug or on the local Steam Train - or a distillery visit.

The Snug is also the local information centre for the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival and Aviemore’s Big Mix Festival.

Speyside Distillery

Speyside Distillery is a small, private, boutique, artisan production located on the outskirts of Kingussie in the foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains and still hand-crafting spirits in time honoured traditions. The distillery is not open to the general public and can accommodate a few visitors by appointment only and remains one of the best kept secrets in the Spey valley.
