Whisky Quay

Whisky Quay is a new whisky bar in Edinburgh’s Old Town from the team behind the Port of Leith Distillery. Located on St Giles’ Street, the bar offers a distinctive selection of Scotch whisky, including exclusive single-cask releases from the Port of Leith Distillery, alongside creative cocktails, beer, wine, port and non-alcoholic drinks.

About Whisky Quay

Whisky Quay is described as the official Old Town embassy for the Port of Leith Distillery, bringing the distillery’s experimental approach to whisky into the heart of Edinburgh. The bar has a particular focus on new-wave whisky, showcasing new distilleries, innovative production techniques and unusual casks.

A highlight is the selection of Port of Leith Distillery single-cask whiskies, with some expressions available exclusively at Whisky Quay and decanted directly from barrels into large jeroboam bottles. The back bar also features a carefully selected collection of whisky from across Scotland and beyond.

The bar takes its name from the Port of Leith Distillery’s waterfront home, linking the new Old Town venue with Edinburgh’s modern whisky-making story.

Whisky & Drinks

Visitors can also explore the whisky through curated pairings, including whisky and Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer, as well as whisky-based cocktails such as the Old Fashioned, Penicillin and Sazerac.

Beyond whisky, the drinks menu includes cocktails, gin, beer, cider, Champagne, wine, sherry and port. There is also a selection of highballs featuring Port of Leith spirits and partner products, while non-alcoholic options include 0% serves and soft drinks.
