Malt Of The Month - The Glenturret Eclosion

The newly released The Glenturret Eclosion is an elegant and limited-edition expression. Crafted predominantly from European oak PX sherry casks, Eclosion delivers a beautifully balanced whisky where rich depth meets unexpected brightness. On the nose, vibrant pineapple and citrus compote are layered with vanilla cream and gentle ginger-spiced oak. The palate unfolds with lively citrus fruits, orange oil and soft oak dusted with cinnamon, before finishing with warming fruit notes and lingering elegant oak.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Bright pineapple and citrus compote rise on the nose, layered with vanilla cream and a gentle trace of ginger-spiced oak.
• Palate: The palate opens with vibrant citrus fruits, unfolding into further layers of pineapple and hints of orange oil, before soft oak emerges, lightly dusted with cinnamon.
• Finish: The finish is warming and fruit-led, carried by elegant, well-integrated oak that lingers with quiet composure.

Bottled at 46.2% ABV and natural in colour, Eclosion is priced at £95 per bottle and will be available online and at The Glenturret Distillery. As a global limited release, it reflects the distillery’s continued focus on small-batch craftsmanship and carefully considered whisky releases.
