The Glenturret Distillery

Since 1763, using time-honoured traditions and methods, The Glenturret holds an enduring legacy for producing hand crafted, small batch single malt Scotch whisky. World renowned as Scotland’s Oldest Working Distillery, The Glenturret Single Malt is defined by its highly skilled distillers, outstanding quality and exquisite taste.

Located in the ‘Hosh’ Crieff, surrounded by the picturesque rolling hills of Highland Perthshire, The Glenturret offers daily distillery tours and tailored whisky experiences, alongside the welcoming Dram Bar, situated within the centre of the distillery. Displaying a carefully curated range of whiskies, this intriguing archive is complemented by a series of whisky flights and a dedicated retail store including an exclusive Lalique Boutique.

The distillery is also home to The Glenturret Lalique Restaurant, the distillery’s Two Michelin Star* unique gastronomic destination which is perfectly accompanied by the secluded private accommodation of The Aberturret Estate House. This recently renovated 19th century Dower house was formerly owned by the Murray Clan, who founded The Glenturret more than 260 years ago.

We do, however, ask that visitors please do not bring dogs into our Restaurant areas which include outside terraces and inside our distillery production and tasting areas. Accessibility:

We make every effort to ensure that The Glenturret Distillery is an accessible and inclusive visitor attraction. The distillery was originally constructed in the 18th century and many of our original buildings continue to form integral parts of our tour today. Operating as a working production facility within historic architecture does present some challenges to accessibility that we work to overcome, aiming to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and educational experience for all our visitors. The appreciation of Scotch whisky is a delightful and immersive multi-sensory experience that can be enjoyed by most, regardless of impairment. For further information please visit THEGLENTURRET.COM to view our Accessibility Guide.

Sustainability:

As Scotland’s oldest working distillery, we take great pride in making our whisky using time-honoured, traditional methods. Crafting our Single Malt requires skill, energy, and precious resources in equal measure. We hold ourselves accountable to preserve the art of whisky making in a sustainable way and reducing our carbon emissions to limit global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees requires urgent action from us all. In response to the climate crisis, we have made a commitment to reduce our global footprint and reach Net Zero by 2040.

We are supported in our sustainability practices, and in our improvement journey by the world leading sustainability accreditation partner, Green Tourism. We have been a Gold Green Tourism member since 2023. For further information please visit THEGLENTURRET.COM to view our Sustainability Strategy.
