November's Perfect Serve - The Rob Roy
November's Perfect Serve is the The Rob Roy
The Perfect Serve will titillate your tastebuds with a delicious whisky cocktail featured every month...
A classic cocktail, most origin stories for the Rob Roy attribute its creation in 1894 with the release of an operetta based on Rob Roy’s life. There have been other suggestions to its origins, with a similar recipe published in a London bar guide in 1882. This is a cocktail that has really stood the test of time!
Similar to a Manhattan, the cocktail might sometimes be called a 'Scotch Manhattan' but this simplifies what is actually a broader and potentially more varied drink, due to Scotch providing a more complex base than Rye or Bourbon.
