If you do decide to venture out remember that many distilleries move into their winter hours this month, so make sure you book in advance if you're visiting.
Until next time...
Distillery Of The Month: Blackness Bay Distillery
Nestled on the shores of the Firth of Forth, Blackness Bay Distillery stands proudly as the oldest building in this historic village.
In keeping with centuries of tradition, its whisky and rum are distilled using the same time old processes, using natural, locally sourced malted barley and sugar cane molasses which are pot stilled in twin copper vessels. The resulting spirit is matured in oak barrels, with each barrel imparting its own unique flavour on the whisky or rum inside.
A visit to the whisky and rum distillery offers a insight through the art of whisky making, from grain to glass. Discover the techniques and enjoy the distinct flavours that set these spirits apart.
After your tour, you can indulge in a classic pub dinner in the warm atmosphere of The Lobster Pot, which features a menu that uses locally sourced sea food and ingredients.
